Rangers Flounder in the Bay; Astros Heat Up Late Past Angels

Nothing doing for the Texas Rangers Tuesday afternoon, as they fell to the San Francisco Giants, 4-2.

Texas was sunk on a 6th-inning throwing error by third baseman Charlie Culberson, which led to two San Francisco runs.

Down in Houston, the Astros broke loose against the Angels’ bullpen to top Los Angeles, 5-1.

The ‘Stros were pretty much held in check by Halos starter Shoehei Ohtani, but erupted for four runs when he departed for the 8th inning.

Michael Brantley got the scoring going for Houston with an RBI single and then Yuli Gurriel followed up with a three-run homer.

The two teams will go at it again Wednesday night at 7:10. Broadcast will be on Zone 1150 AM & 93.7 FM.
