Public Hearing on City of Bryan Proposed 2027 Fiscal Year Budget

The Bryan Police Department says the skeletal remains uncovered Wednesday are believed to be those of a female. An identification card was located near the remains and after making contacting with family, they confirmed that their loved one has been missing for an extended period of time. A surveying crew located the remains yesterday in the 5900 block of Jones Road, near what is believed to be a homeless encampment. The preliminary identification is not being released. The remains will now be the University of North Texas Center for Human Identification. They will conduct a complete examination, including DNA analysis, and dental comparisons, in hopes of confirming the decedent’s identity. A heat advisory will be in effect through Friday evening. Temperatures will be in the triple digits and the heat index could reach 108 degrees. See what’s available and make reservations directly from the app. Facility Passes & Memberships View and manage purchased pool passes and tennis center memberships in the app. Barcodes can be scanned directly from the app, allowing quick and convenient access to facilities. Mobile-Exclusive Notifications Through the new app, parks staff can send urgent notifications about program updates, including weather notices, registration deadlines and other announcements.
