A Houston woman convicted of a drunk driving crash that severely injured a College Station police officer will return to court later this month.

Prosecutors say 23 year old Alex Ford violated conditions of her appeal bond and they want her in jail while the legal process continues its course.

Defense lawyer Brian Tice says Ford denies breaking curfew and consuming alcohol on New Year’s Eve.

Last May, a Brazos County District Court  jury convicted Ford of intoxication assault in a January 2010 crash that also injured three passengers in her sports car.

The Maserati that struck a patrol car left officer Tracy Sheets with critical injuries. She remains employed by CSPD but is recovering from another ankle injury.

Arguments are scheduled the afternoon of February 17th.
