Prison Sentences In Three Brazos County District Court Cases

Three recent Brazos County district court criminal cases resulted in prison sentences.

A College Station man whose been in jail since his arrest nine months ago has entered a plea agreement on several charges. 27 year old Douglas Foster II admitted to firing shots outside the Saddlewood Apartments in Bryan. Witnesses reported the intended victim, a 15 year old who lived at the complex, was not hit. Gunfire hit two cars. Foster was sentenced to a total of eight years in prison.

A Bryan man who was arrested the week before he was scheduled to finish seven years of probation for drug possession is headed to prison. 27 year old Zachary Ridgway was ordered to serve five years of an originally imposed ten year sentence. According to court records, Ridgway owed more than $5,000 dollars in fines and fees and he admitted to stealing a $150 dollar tool box from a store in College Station last March.

A Calvert man has been convicted by a Brazos County district court jury of attacking a woman and taking her purse outside the Denny’s restaurant in College Station last year. The jury sentenced 30 year old Antarius Ashley to 40 years for the robbery. The victim was taking restaurant money to the bank when she was assaulted and robbed. Police credited capturing Ashley to a bystander for following the getaway car and the driver of the getaway car who ordered Ashley out after learning he committed the robbery.
