A Bryan man who admitted striking a 66 year old man in the face with enough force to cause a three inch cut is headed to prison. During a punishment hearing in Brazos County district court last Friday, 31 year old Ezekiel Munoz was sentenced to eight years. Munoz sought probation for injuring the elderly man March 2, 2020 outside a local emergency room. Prosecutors told WTAW News the crime was enhanced because Munoz served prison time for an armed robbery north of Dallas in Collin County.

Two more people have admitted to their involvement in an armed robbery in College Station on Valentine’s Day night in 2018. 22 year old Derrick Green Jr. of Bryan was sentenced to ten years. And Kerstin Geddie of College Station was in court on her 20th birthday where she was sentenced to seven years. According to College Station police, Geddie brought the victim to a motel room. Green and 23 year old Juwan Nelson of Bryan entered the room with guns equipped with laser sights and pistol lights. Last December, Nelson pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 17 years.

A Houston woman admits to violating probation for the second time in a Brazos County district court case of prescription fraud that took place seven years ago. 28 year old Monisha Harris was ordered to serve four years in prison for 32 violations dating back to January of 2018. That includes illegal use of drugs eight times, failing to report for drug tests six times, and not reporting to her probation officer for 21 consecutive months. Harris pleaded guilty to forging a prescription in an attempt to get Hydrocodone in September of 2013.
