A College Station man’s 33rd visit to the Brazos County jail in 29 years follows a prison sentence for sexually groping a Bryan woman more than two years ago. After a Brazos County jury convicted 49 year old Erick Pratt, the trial judge ordered a 40 year sentence. According to the district attorney’s office, Pratt forced his way into a stranger’s home in May 2019 and assaulted the victim. The D-A’s office also stated this is the second time Pratt is going to prison, after pleading guilty in 2015 to forcing his way into another stranger’s home and punching a woman in the face multiple times.
A Bryan man admits to drunk driving for the third time. As part of a plea agreement with the Brazos County district attorney’s office, prosecutors waived a deadly weapon notice and enhancement to being a habitual offender. 58 year old Larry Blair was sentenced to 13 years for the DWI that took place in Bryan on New Year’s Eve in 2019. According to the indictment, Blair had prior DWI convictions in Robertson County in 1992 and 2016.
