A Bryan man has admitted to his part in a murder that took place in October 2011.
As part of a plea agreement, 23 year old Clayton Thompson was sentenced to 45 years and will have to serve at least half that time before he is eligible for parole.
Thompson fired one shot through the front door of a Bryan apartment that killed Billy Menard, Jr.
The deal also calls for Thompson to serve a 10 year sentence from an unrelated aggravated assault at the same time.
Thompson was one of three men arrested in Menard’s death following a dispute about selling marijuana.
Awaiting trials are co-defendants Travis Carroll and Christopher Hernandez.
