The Texas Rangers picked up a rubber game win over the Oakland Athletics Sunday afternoon, 7-4 at Globe Life Field.
DJ Peters walloped two home runs for Texas, including a 460-foot shot in the first.
Kolby Allard earned the win on the mound, allowing three earned runs on seven hits in 6.1 innings pitched.
The victory marked the first series win for the Rangers (42-76) since they defeated Seattle on August 1st.
