A drug bust conducted by College Station police had a “Breaking Bad” theme.
One of four people arrested had a wallet bearing the name Heisenburg and a caricature of actor Bryan Cranston, who portrayed the methamphetamine-making professor. The wallet was in a silver case belonging to 21 year old Matthew Hayhurst of Bryan. According to the arrest report, the box also had ledgers with drug transactions, and five types of drugs including meth and a homemade mix nicknamed “Cloud”.
Two others inside the car, 18 year old Jasmine Lopez and 19 year old Cristopher Collins of College Station, told the officer they made the “Cloud” from combining two dry chemicals they purchased over the Internet. They believed it was a legal alternative to another illegal drug nicknamed “Molly”. A backpack belonging to Collins had the raw materials for “Cloud”.
The discovery of the drugs was due to the officer pulling over a car on Texas near Southwest Parkway with an out of date vehicle registration. The driver, 31 year old Dawn Graff of College Station, was arrested for giving a false identity and she was wanted in a prior court case charging her with cocaine possession.
Detectives do not believe the types of drugs that were seized are connected with multiple drug overdose cases in the twin cities, which has led to at least one death.
