A two vehicle crash in the Steep Hollow community northeast of Bryan Monday night resulted in no injuries and the arrest of one the drivers.

According to the DPS arrest report, witnesses saw a pickup attempt to pass several vehicles that had stopped for someone wanting to make a left turn off FM 1179 into Frank’s Country Store.

The pickup struck the rear of a car, the truck rolled into a creek, and the car went into a ditch.

The driver of the truck, 25 year old Kevin Perez of Bryan, was arrested for DWI and for resisting while hospital employees were doing a court ordered blood draw.

Perez, who according to court records is on probation after pleading guilty to misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury, is out of jail after posting bonds totaling $6,000 dollars.
