BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 5 Texas A&M team run-ruled North Texas, 12-4, in six innings Wednesday night at Davis Diamond.
North Texas (22-11) blasted a two-out home run in the top of the opening frame to scratch the board first, 1-0. Kennedy Powell led the bottom half off with a walk and advanced 60 feet with a stolen base, before scoring as Mya Perez singled to right field to even the game 1-1. Mac Barbara singled to advance Perez, while Koko Wooley followed with an RBI-double to give Texas A&M (28-5) a 2-1 lead after the first.
The two teams exchanged a pair of scoreless innings before the Aggies hung a crooked fourth frame with six runs on six hits. Gracyn Coleman led off with her first double of the season, while Kelsey Mathis entered the game as a pinch runner. Kramer Eschete advanced Mathis to third by reaching on a fielder’s choice, while Powell made it a two-score game with an RBI-single to right center. Back-to-back doubles from Amari Harper and Perez extended the lead to 6-1, while Allie Enright capped the scoring in the inning with a two-run home run to left field as the Aggies led 8-1 through four innings of action.
UNT chipped at the deficit by adding a two-run dinger in the top of the fifth, while Wooley recorded an RBI-walk to make it a 9-3 lead. The Mean Green continued to fight back scoring one run on two hits in the sixth, before Ol’ Sarge’s charges made the final attack plating three runs on five hits, including an RBI-double from Mac Barbara to end the game via run-rule, 12-4.
Aggie starter Grace Sparks earned her sixth win of the season going 3.0 innings without allowing a walk and registering one strikeout, while yielding one run on four hits.

The Aggies host LMU in a non-conference three-game set beginning Friday at 6 p.m., while Saturday is set for a 4 p.m. first pitch and the series finale on Sunday at 12 p.m. All three games can be streamed on SECN+.

- Mya Perez has reached base safely in 31-of-33 games this season after an RBI-single drove in Kennedy Powell for the Aggies’ first run. Perez finished the night with her 10th multi-hit game going 3-for-4, 3 RBI, 2 R, 1 2B, 1 HBP.
- Kennedy Powell made her 90th career start in the Maroon & White and recorded her 15th stolen base of the season in the opening frame. It marks 21 consecutive stolen bases for the junior dating back to the season opener in 2024. Powell registered her team-leading 11th multi-hit game going 2-for-4 with two runs one RBI and one walk.
- Senior Allie Enright added her fifth homerun of the season, bringing her Aggie career total to 19.
- The Aggies have totaled 31 runs in the last three games, matching the most runs in a three-game span since scoring 11 runs in the season opener and 10 runs in games two and three.
- A&M reached double-digits in the run column for the 11th time this season and recorded a run-rule victory for the 10th time.
- The comeback win is the 12th of the season for the Aggies, the fourth-most in the nation.
- Texas A&M matched its season-high 14 hits for the third time this season and second time in as many games. Every Aggie starter recorded a hit, including Barbara, Perez and Powell recording multiple hits.
- The Aggies are now 8-1 all-time against the Mean Green, including the third straight run-rule victory.
- No scorigami. Tonight marks the fifth time the Aggies have won 12-4 in program history, while all five victories have happened since 2010.
