No. 19 Texas A&M Baseball Hosts No. 17 Alabama

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 19 Texas A&M baseball team turns its attention to SEC play as they welcome No. 17 Alabama to Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park for a three-game set starting Friday night at 6 p.m. Game two is scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m., while Sunday’s finale is slated for 4 p.m.

The first two contests of the series will be streamed on SECN+, while the finale will air on SEC Network. The three-game set can also be heard locally on SportsRadio 1150 AM/93.7 The Zone. In addition, fans can follow along with the series through live stats or on X, @AggieBaseball.

Friday’s series opener marks the 38th meeting all-time between the Aggies (10-6) and Crimson Tide (17-1). The Maroon & White lead the series 22-15 after claiming two of three on the road a season ago. In the last 10 meetings, the two clubs have split 5-5.

Texas A&M will send the southpaw trio of Ryan Prager, Justin Lamkin and Myles Patton to the mound for the weekend. The trio has been dominant this season, combining for a 1.66 ERA and 87 strikeouts in 70.2 innings of work. Lamkin leads the group with three quality starts and enters the weekend five strikeouts shy of becoming the 22nd member of the 200-K Club at Texas A&M.

In his last 13 starts in front of the Olsen Field faithful, Prager has compiled an 8-0 record, 1.57 ERA and 92 strikeouts in 74.1 innings of work. During the stretch, the lefty owns a strikeouts per nine mark of 11.1 and has allowed only 16 walks. On the season, the Aggie ace holds a 2-0 record to go along with a 0.39 ERA and 27 strikeouts.

Kaeden Kent continues to lead the offensive charge for the Aggies as the junior is batting .310 to go along with a triple, three doubles, six homers and 19 RBI. Freshman Terrence Kiel II has been impressive through 16 games this season as the rookie leads the team with a .420 average and six stolen bases.

PROMOTIONS AT THE BALLPARK
FRIDAY

The first 3,000 fans in attendance for Friday’s series opener will receive the first set of Texas A&M baseball trading cards. Fans also have the opportunity to take photos with Reveille on the concourse prior to first pitch. Following the game, there will be a fireworks show.

 

SATURDAY

The first 1,000 fans in attendance for Saturday’s game will receive a FREE Bubble Blaster.

 

SUNDAY – MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY

It’ll be Sunday Funday for the finale against Alabama as the first 80 kids 12-and-under are able to join the Aggie starters on the field for the national anthem. To join the team on the field, kids 12-and-under should meet at Guest Services 30 minutes prior to first pitch. Anthem Buddies opportunity is limited and subject to change. There will also be FREE face painting on the concourse along the first base side throughout the end of the first inning.

Following the game, kids 12-and-under will have the opportunity to run the bases at Blue Bell Park.
