Bryan police responding last Friday night to what began as a domestic disturbance ended in a crash where the driver’s girlfriend was injured.
The woman was taken to the hospital where she was treated for a dislocated ankle where a bone protruded through the side of her leg.
The driver, 29 year old Roderick Jones of Navasota, was arrested on a charge of intoxication assault causing bodily injury.
According to the arrest report, Jones was believed to be under the influence of marijuana when his car struck a tree.
Jones was released from jail after posting bond totaling $23,000 dollars on new charges that also includes possessing THC.
He was also arrested on a warrant on a separate charge of misdemeanor marijuana possession from June of 2021.
