FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) _ Just over 26 years have passed since the April night when two grungy ex-convicts later described as “Charles Manson types” attacked a young couple watching the stars.
The man was beaten and bound, his date was abducted and sexually assaulted all the way to Florida. Three men who chanced upon the attack were each shot in the head. One died.
Gunman Delbert Teague was executed in 1998. Partner Robin Scott Partine is serving life for aggravated sexual assault.
Now, 26 years later, another of the men shot had a seizure and fell from a stool, fatally injuring his head. Now, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports authorities may prosecute Partine, now 54, for murder in the April 13 death of 58-year-old David Suson.
The Tarrant County medical examiner ruled it homicide.
