Mother of ‘Baby Grace’ Pleads Guilty on One Charge

GALVESTON, Texas (AP) _ A jury pool of 150 people must return to court Monday in the Galveston trial of the mother of a slain toddler dubbed “Baby Grace.”

Kimberly Dawn Trenor has pleaded innocent to capital murder in the 2007 death of her 2-year-old daughter. Trenor earlier pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence.

Trenor and her husband, Royce Clyde Zeigler II, are accused of beating Riley Ann Sawyers to death at their home in Spring.

A fisherman found the remains of the then-unidentified girl in a box in Galveston Bay.
