Thursday update:

A College Station woman died Monday in her apartment after she was stabbed five times in the back with a large kitchen chef’s knife.

That’s according to the College Station police arrest report that led to a murder charge against the victim’s boyfriend.

54 year old Terry Ratliff is accused of stabbing 39 year old Theia Flakes following an argument that a neighbor told investigators took place off and on over a two hour period.

The neighbor also saw Ratliff in the doorway of the apartment at the time Flakes was stabbed.

Detectives believe there was an extended physical altercation based on seeing the entire apartment in disarray and finding blood in the living room, the master bedroom, and the bathrooms of the apartment.

Ratliff was also arrested for evidence tampering. That’s after police found the knife in the master bedroom wrapped in orange kitchen style gloves and hidden under a pile of clean clothes, and hiding a trash can liner that would have contained his blood.
