Massive Inning by the Bombers Submits the East Texas Pump Jacks, 9-1

Bryan-College Station, TX (July 27, 2013)-

After a rough first start at home for Brandon Easterling last week, he came back and thrived as the Bombers dominated the East Texas Pump Jacks.

It looked as if the Pump Jacks were going start the game off strong, but wild pitching only doomed their hopes.  The Bombers loaded the bases early in the bottom of the 2nd due to unpredictable pitching by the Pump Jacks.  The first run of the game was credited to Graham McIntyre on his RBI single to right field.  After a wild pitch brought in Hunter Hagler, Mason Randolph doubled to left to bring in two more runs.  More pitching errors only troubled the Pump Jacks as another run was brought in for the Bombers on the Horacio Correa III walk.  A consecutive walk would put runners at first and second for the Bombers leaving a double play situation for the Pump Jacks.  Little did the Pump Jacks know that this was just the beginning of their troubles.

After a pitching change was made, G.R. Hinsley hit a three run homerun that would put the Bombers up 8-0.  The Bombers tacked on one more run in the 7th inning off a Brett Kauten single to make the lead 9-1.  Brandon Easterling pitched a gem striking out eight and only giving up one run in seven innings pitched.  Erik Polivka and Jason Freeman each made an appearance for the Bombers to finish off the Pump Jacks.

The Bombers face the East Texas Pump Jacks on Sunday at American Momentum Bank ballpark at 7:05pm, July 28.
