Manziel Garners National Praise after Road Win

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Following an impressive road victory over Ole Miss on Saturday, Texas A&M sophomore quarterback Johnny Manziel has received numerous national accolades, including SEC Offensive Player of the Week.

The reigning Heisman Trophy winner accounted for 459 yards of total offense vs. the Rebels as the Aggies earned a hard-fought 41-38 victory at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The sophomore signal caller completed 31-of-39 passes for 346 yards while adding 113 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

Through six games this season, Manziel has accounted for 2,262 yards of total offense (1,835 passing / 427 rushing) and 19 touchdowns while completing 73.2 percent of his passes and averaging 6.5 yards per carry.

In addition to the honors from the SEC, Manziel garnered Player of the Week attention from the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award as well as a spot on the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll and the distinction of being named a Manning Award Star of the Week.
