Almost 10,000 water customers in the Wellborn special utility district (SUD) are being warned that outdoor watering may be reduced from three to two days per week. General manager Campbell Young says if the 9,878 Wellborn customers reduce irrigation on their designated days by a few minutes, then they can stay on the present schedule.

The Wellborn SUD advisory follows the Wickson Creek special utility district announcing on Thursday (August 22), the return of mandatory water restrictions.

Wickson Creek’s stage one restrictions means limited outdoor watering for about 9,200 customers. That includes no outdoor irrigation between 5 a.m. and 9 p.m. and outdoor irrigation between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. on two designated days per week.
