Man Hospitalized In Houston After Being Beaten In The Bryan Hooters Parking Lot

One customer at the Bryan Hooters telling another to stop flirting with the bartender is hospitalized in Houston after he was assaulted.

Following a search that included a Bryan police K-9 officer, 32 year old John Tyler Cooper of Bryan was arrested on charges of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury and evading arrest with a prior conviction.

According to the arrest report, witnesses reported both men fighting in the parking lot when the victim was knocked out and Cooper continued punching the victim in the face until the manager yelled at him.

The victim told police before he was transported to Houston that he was on the phone with his wife when he was grabbed from behind and was placed in a chokehold.

The victim sustained fractures around his eyes and to his nose.

Cooper was found in the woods between the sports bar and Rayburn school.

He was released from jail after posting bonds totaling $20,000 dollars.
