Man Arrested in College Station With Nearly 39 Grams of Methamphetamine

A man was arrested on multiple charges after police found nearly 39 grams of methamphetamine inside his vehicle.

The College Station Police Department responded to a call in the 800 block of Spring Loop after receiving a report of a man asleep in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that was running, and in reverse.

When officers contacted 25-year-old Charles Ray Archie, III of Spring, they reported smelling marijuana coming from the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed 2.3 grams of marijuana and approximately 230 pills of methamphetamine weighing in at 38.8 grams.

Archie was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 4-200 grams, Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces, and Interference with Public Duties.

The man also had an active motion-to-revoke warrant out of Harris County for evading arrest with a motor vehicle. He is being held at the Brazos County Jail on $43,000 bond.
