A Bryan man was arrested yesterday after wielding a scythe in the 400 block of South Main Street.
According to arrest records, officers spotted 44-year-old Frank Garcia, Jr. walking along the roadway while waving the weapon in the air and yelling at people.
Garcia was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct display of a weapon and is being held on $3,000 bond. This is his 22nd visit to the Brazos County Jail since 1999.
On July 2, 2026 he was arrested for smoking within 20 feet of a business, disorderly conduct-language, and failure to use an available sidewalk. He paid court costs and fines of $1,465.10 and was given community service.
In January of this year, Garcia was arrested for theft of property under $100 and was once again given community service after paying $440 in court costs.
His previous arrests include charges of evading arrest, DWI, driving without a valid license, theft, and possession of marijuana.
