Man Arrested For Possessing Viagra Without Prescription

A College Station man booked his 33rd stay at the Brazos County Jail over the weekend.

College Station Police were called to the 700 block of San Pedro on Sunday for a suspicious persons call. After approaching a vehicle in the back alley, officers say they smelled marijuana and conducted a probable cause search.

40-year-old Joshua Ray Edwards was found to be in possession of five pills that were determined to be sildenafil – the generic name for Viagra. Edwards did not have a prescription for the medication, so he was arrested for Possession of a Dangerous Drug and Possession of Marijuana.

He was released on $17,000 bond.

His previous arrests include charges for theft, criminal mischief, DWI, criminal trespass, and possession.
