Man Arrested After Falling Asleep Inside Texas A&M Building

A man was arrested early Monday after Texas A&M University Police found him sleeping on a bench inside a campus building.

According to reports, UPD responded to the Commons Building shortly after 2:00am after a security guard reported finding the man.

30-year-old Jonathan Kyle Sanders, of Sugar Land, told officers that he was a Texas A&M student, but it was determined that he was not enrolled.

Background revealed that Sanders had an active a criminal trespass warning prohibiting him from entering the Commons and surrounding residence halls.

He was arrested for criminal trespass and booked into the Brazos County Jail. He remains jailed on $4,000 bond.
