Major Improvements Coming to Easterwood Airport

The private fixed based operator (FBO) hired by Texas A&M University to oversee Easterwood Airport recently passed its first anniversary.

John Clanton of Astin Aviation, on WTAW’s The Infomaniacs, says they’re in the process of using between $3 and $4 million dollars in grant money from the FAA to improve the terminal, plus another $7 million in private funding for the terminal, hangars, and other services.

That’s in addition to applying for a $475,000 federal grant that would be matched with an equal amount of local money to help recruit Delta for non-stop service to and from Atlanta.
