Madison County Burglar Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison

The Madison County District Attorney’s Office announced today that a woman will be headed to prison for 15 years.

44-year-old Emily Beth Bradford, of Arkansas, was arrested on March 8, 2026 after breaking into a vehicle on OSR in Normangee.

She was captured on video taking a shotgun from the vehicle and leaving the scene in a U-Haul. The victims followed Bradford to the Yellow Rose Travel Center at I-45 and OSR and prevented her from leaving the scene. It was later determined that the U-Haul had been stolen the day prior in Palestine, TX.

She pled guilty to Burglary of Habitation and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. Today Judge David Moorman sentenced Bradford to 15 years in prison.

Madison County District Attorney Courtney Cain said, “The Madison County District Attorney’s Office will not tolerate thieves in Madison County. If thieves decide to steal from Madison County citizens then they will do time! Thank you to Madison County Sheriff’s Office for your diligent work on this case. Another thief off the streets!”
