Looking For A Dog That Bit A Girl

From College Station police:

On 4/7/2018, College Station Animal Control received a report of an animal bite.

The victim’s parent advised that around 1810 hours on 4/7/2018, his daughter was playing ball in the front yard with a friend when a stray dog came in the street unleashed.

The dog tried to catch the ball but bite the victim.

The victim’s parent chased the dog to the intersection of Bernburg and Edelweiss but lost site of the dog.

The dog was running southbound on Edelweiss.

The victim’s parent described the dog as a black/white/tan Australian shepherd mix, medium hair, around 40/50 pounds.

College Station Animal Control is asking for help from the public in locating the dog involved in the bite and its owner.

The dog needs to be located and observed to rule out possible rabies exposure to the victim.
