Loia Valade Joins Aggie Football After Reclassifying

Texas A&M announced Wednesday that Loia Valade will join the Aggie football program effective immediately after the Boca Raton, Fla., native reclassified.

The 6-0, 190-pound Valade compiled 31 tackles, 1.0 tackle for loss and two interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, during two seasons at McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tenn. A two-way standout, Valade also recorded 43 receptions for 664 yards (15.44) and seven touchdowns on offense, while adding six kickoff returns for 114 yards (19.00) on special teams. He helped lead the Tornado to a 21-5 record over two seasons, including a TSSAA Division II-AAA State Championship in 2024.

The consensus three-star prospect, originally from Canada, ranks as the No. 36, No. 43 and No. 54 prospect in the state of Florida by Rivals, On3.com and ESPN.com, respectively. Valade is also rated as the No. 42, No. 46 and No. 60 defensive back nationally by ESPN.com, Rivals/On3.com and 247Sports.com, respectively.
