Local Political Activist Holding 2nd Amendment Rally

Supporters of the second amendment are invited to participate in a rally hosted by a local political activist Tuesday on the A&M campus.

The creator of “Celebrate the Second Amendment Day”, Preston Wiginton, will be passing out essays on what happens when cities and other nations limit possession of firearms.

He will also be collecting signatures on a petition supporting the second amendment that he plans to deliver to Congressman Bill Flores.

And Wiginton is hosting two games. One game, “Train for the Second American Revolution”, will involve the participant shooting at a soldier like figure with a nerf gun to win a bumper sticker that says “Come and Take It” with the image of an AR 15. The other game will be “Guess how many bird shot BB’s are in a pickle jar”, with the participant who guesses the closest winning a gift certificate for a Remington 870 pump action shot gun.

The event will be at A&M’s Rudder Fountain Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

WTAW’s Bill Oliver visits with Preston Wiginton.
