Those involved in administering upcoming Brazos County Republican and Democratic party conventions met Monday to decide how to deal with problems created by the state’s redistricting lawsuit.
Voter Registrar Kristy Roe says delays caused by the lawsuit has put them in a bind to keep records of voters who declare a party affiliation.
Roe says at Monday’s meeting they came up with a backup plan to keep track of voters who declare a party affiliation if the secretary of state’s office doesn’t provide direction.
Fallout from the lawsuit also meant delays in producing new voter registration cards. Roe says new cards are now at the printer.
