It’s a weekend in a local motel for the Brazos County District Court jury contemplating the fate of a Brenham man charged with capital murder.
The panel deliberated nearly seven hours Friday before District Judge J.D. Langley suspended proceedings until Monday morning.
Artis Pollard is accused of killing Terrell McCoy in a December 2006 shooting at a home northwest of Bryan.
The jury has the option of either finding Pollard not guilty or convicting him of capital murder, which in this case carries an automatic life prison term because the prosecution did not seek the death penalty.
