Local Drivers Arrested During The Weekend On Multiple Charges

College Station police make an arrest for reckless driving in the crowded Northgate district after the bars closed Sunday morning. The CSPD arrest report says officers were able to catch up to a pickup because it was stuck behind a line of cars at a red light. 22 year old Riley Voskamp of College Station is accused of twice revving the diesel engine long enough to leave behind a plume of smoke, attempting to do a burnout while passing an ambulance, and speeding through the crowd. Voskamp, who was arrested for reckless driving and possessing cocaine, is out of jail after posting bonds totaling $7,000 dollars.

Bryan police report the driver of a pickup that struck a traffic light pole Saturday at one in the morning at 29th and Barak…next to Bryan High School…went to jail on multiple charges. BPD arrest reports say breath alcohol tests measured nearly twice the legal limit at point .150 and .147. And a witness told officers that he saw the driver throw a black bag into a trash can. Officers recovered the bag and found 88 small clear plastic bags containing crack cocaine. 27 year old Jonquil Ginn of College Station was arrested for D-W-I, manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, and evidence tampering. Ginn is out of jail after posting bonds totaling $35,000 dollars.
