Local Connections to Florida Plane Crash

A College Station woman is among three victims of a plane crash Tuesday evening in the Florida Panhandle.

63 year old Charlene Black Miller was one of the passengers in the private plane piloted by her son-in-law, 47 year old Greg Coleman of Cedar Park.

Also killed was 58 year old James Patrick Black.

Okaloosa County, Florida Sheriff’s spokeswoman Michelle Nicholson says Coleman was attempting a landing in deep sea fog at the Destin, FL municipal airport when air traffic controllers reported the plane went off the radar.

Comments from Michelle Nicholson.

Nicholson says Coleman’s wife, who is Charlene Miller’s daughter, was at the airport at the time of the crash.

The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating.
