The Leadership Brazos Alumni Association brought in the Commandant of the Corps of Cadets to speak to a Chamber of Commerce membership luncheon Thursday.
Among the things said by retired Brigadier General Joe Ramirez, who returned to A&M after 31 years in the Army, is that “a positive attitude is a combat multiplier”.
Ramirez, A&M Class of 1979, was a commander of the Cadets B company Streetfighters unit. Among his talking points about leadership, is that someone is always looking at you.
Ramirez began his remarks recognizing the loss of firefighters in his hometown of Houston. He says if he was President for a day, they would get the highest salaries along with law enforcement and members of the military.
Remarks from Joe Ramirez.
The luncheon was also the setting for announcing this year’s Leadership Brazos Alumni Association (LBAA) outstanding alumni award.
The award was given to John Happ, Leadership Brazos Class of 1997, who is the director of aviation at Easterwood Airport.
