MEDIA RELEASE 09/09/2026:
BRYAN, TEXAS – The City of Bryan, Brazos County and Kristen Distributing are pleased to announce an expansion of the Kristen Distributing operations in North Bryan at Texas Triangle Park, marking a strong investment in the Brazos Valley economy by the locally-owned-and-operated beverage company.
On Aug. 4, 2026, the City of Bryan-Brazos County Economic Development Foundation (BBCEDF) – a public partnership between the City of Bryan and Brazos County – sold 56.9 acres of land at Texas Triangle Park to Kristen Distributing. The beverage company intends to build a distribution facility of up to 200,000 square feet on the property, which is adjacent to their current facility. As part of the property sale agreement, Kristen Distributing agrees to begin construction of their expansion project within 24 months. If construction is not started before that deadline, the BBCEDF has the right to repurchase the land.
“It’s always a great day when a company chooses to invest in Bryan, but it’s even sweeter when that investment comes from one of our own,” said Bryan Mayor Bobby Gutierrez. “Kristen Distributing has been an important part of our community for many years, and their continued growth is a testament to their confidence in Bryan and our future. This expansion means new jobs, greater economic opportunity and additional investment in our community. We are proud to partner with the Kristen family and excited to see them continue to grow right here in Bryan.”
Kristen Distributing Company is a fourth-generation, family-owned beverage distributor supplying approximately 1,300 products across 23 counties in Central Texas, including national brands from partners like Red Bull, Constellation, MolsonCoors and Heineken USA. The company also produces its own line of craft sodas, Boots Beverages, a Texas heritage brand founded by Boots Kristen in 1948 and revived by the Kristen family in 2013. As Boots Beverages continues to grow its presence nationally, Kristen Distributing also plans to expand the contract manufacturing area of its existing facility to support that growth.
“This investment reflects our confidence in the City of Bryan and Brazos County as the place to keep growing.” said Kristen’s CEO Mark Kristen. “Expanding here enables us to continue serving our retail partners and communities across Central Texas at the level they deserve.”
Founded in 1930 and headquartered in Bryan, Texas since 1998, Kristen Distributing Company has grown from humble beginnings into a leading beverage distributor across Central Texas. The company serves more than 2,100 retailers across its Bryan and Temple locations, moving an annual volume exceeding 3.5 million cases. The new facility is planned to accommodate up to 5 million cases annually in its first phase.
“Our family has called Bryan home since 1998, and this new facility is about building for the next chapter of our business here,” said Kristen’s President John Kristen. “We’re honored to keep growing in the community that’s supported us for so long, and we’re grateful for the partnership with the City and County that made this possible.”
The City of Bryan and Brazos County formed the BBCEDF in 2009 to advance economic development in the region. Developing Texas Triangle Park is a key mission of the organization, turning the city and county owned land into new economic opportunities. In addition to Kristen Distributing, Texas Triangle Park is home to FedEx, an Amazon last-mile delivery station, and Axis Pipe & Tube, the city’s largest industrial property, among others.
“Kristen Distributing is one of several success stories at Texas Triangle Park,” said Brazos County Judge Duane Peters. “Businesses that invest in Texas Triangle Park gain connectivity across the state, access to an eager workforce and a global reach. We welcome Kristen Distributing’s additional investment in our community and look forward to their continued success.”
