Report: Fedora turns down Consol job

Navasota head football coach and athletic director Lee Fedora has turned down an offer for the same jobs at his alma mater A&M Consolidated, according to media reports. KBTX reported Sunday that CSISD superintendent Dr. Eddie Coulson offered the job to Fedora over the weekend but has decided to stay at Navasota where he’s coached the last six seasons. The report also said that one of the interviewees, former Consol offensive coordinator Steve Huff, was not a finalist for the job. The only other known interviewee is current Consolidated defensive coordinator Ray Kavanaugh, although it’s believed that other have been invited to interview. Coulson has said that he hopes to recommend a final name to the board of trustees this week.
