Missing Man From Henderson County Is Located In Brazos County

The Brazos County sheriff’s office announces an 80 year old man reported missing in Henderson County was found just outside the College Station city limits. The sheriff’s office Facebook page says they received multiple reports Wednesday morning (July 1) of a man along Highway 30 near William D. Fitch Parkway who was struggling to walk and appeared to be confused. Deputies who were searching in the area received an alert from a license plate reading camera identifying a parked vehicle associated with the missing man. Then deputies learned the man had been picked up by a passerby and returned to the area. Once the man was located, he was evaluated by EMS and was reunited with his family.

College Station Police Looking For Those Responsible For Gunfire That Injured Two People

College Station police is looking for those responsible for gunfire that injured two people. A CSPD Facebook post did not give the date or time of the gunfire at Southgate Village apartments on Luther Street. The two gunshot victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. CSPD has also not released anything that investigators have learned about what led to the gunfire. Anyone with information is asked to call CSPD at 979-764-3600.

Brazos County’s Chief Public Defender Quarterly Update To County Commissioners Includes Recruiting More Attorneys

Brazos County commissioners received an update at their last meeting (June 23) from the public defender’s office. Nathan Wood led off with starting two new specialty divisions, dealing with juvenile offenders and people with mental health issues. Wood also said the new divisions has resulted in creating four vacancies for attorneys in his office. Commissioners were asked to take into consideration, recommendations from an outside consultant regarding salaries of public defender attorneys. Wood reported the public defender’s office has 612 active clients and resolved 215 cases during this year’s second quarter.
