Bryan police make an arrest on a charge of insurance fraud.
The BPD arrest report says the case began in September 2025 when a hotel guest reported someone broke the rear window of his rental van and took property.
The guest later filed an insurance claim for $10,000 dollars.
A three month investigation involved a BPD detective, an officer, two crime scene investigators, and the suspect’s insurance company.
After investigators reviewed video outside the hotel, photos the suspect took, and phone calls the suspect made to his insurance company, among other things, it was determined that the hotel guest broke the window of his rental van.
That led to the arrest of 36 year old Grant Underwood Jr. of Bryan. He was released from jail after posting a $30,000 dollar bond.
