Three Dead, Three Others Injured in Head-On Crash on Highway 105
Three people are dead and three others injured after a head-on crash on Highway 105. Two cars collided on Highway 105 West, just west of the Brazos River around 5:30pm Thursday. DPS says they believe the crash is the result of a vehicle attempting to make a pass in a no-passing zone. A Chevrolet Equinox traveling eastbound on Highway 105 struck a Chevrolet Impala head-on while attempting the illegal pass. The driver and passenger in the Impala were pronounced dead on scene. They have been identified as 70-year-old Wallace Perry and 70-year-old Gloria Sanders, both of Washington. The four occupants in the Equinox were: 19-year-old Kayla Bravo, of Cypress (driver) — air lifted to Memorial Hermann 18-year-old Katherine Atwell, of Montgomery — air lifted to Memorial Hermann 18-year-old Leyla Aljaloudi, of Cypress — air lifted to Memorial Hermann 18-year-old Brooklyn Imani, of Cypress — pronounced dead at the scene The investigation is ongoing and DPS has not released any additional information.
Man Arrested For DWI After Breath Tests Show More Than Twice The Legal Limit
A man was arrested for DWI after police say his alcohol concentration was more than twice the legal limit. College Station Police responded to Hungry Howie’s in the 100 block of Southwest Parkway on Tuesday after employees said an intoxicated man was attempting to find his car keys and drive away. 46-year-old Scott Donovan Hanna was found stumbling, with a strong odor of alcohol, and a can of beer on the roof of his car. Hanna failed a field sobriety test. His breathalyzer tests registered concentrations of 0.202 and 0.203. During the arrest, police found a THC vape inside his vehicle. Hanna was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Penalty Group 2, under 1 gram) and DWI with an Alcohol Concentration of 0.15 or Higher. He was released on $13,000 bond. Man Arrested After Climbing Onto Garbage Truck
A man was arrested after climbing on top of a garbage truck in Bryan. Police received a call from the driver with the City of Bryan Solid Waste Department a little before 5:30am Wednesday morning. The driver reported that a man was yelling that his friend was inside the truck and scaled the vehicle to try to open the hatch. 32-year-old Jefferee William Evans then tried to enter the cab. He was charged with Criminal Trespass of a Vehicle and remains jailed on $3,000 bond. Police confirmed that no one was inside the dumpster.
