Leaders of the Houston YMCA are interested in studying whether to build a branch in Bryan/College Station.
College Station city councilman Karl Mooney reported Thursday the Y president and vice president for development will be making future trips to visit with, among others, representatives of both cities, various groups, Blinn College, and Texas A&M.
Mooney says the Y submitted a request for a feasibility study to be conducted by graduate students at Texas A&M’s Mays Business School.
Three weeks ago, the Y president and three vice presidents spent a day at the invitation of a local group courting wanting a local branch.
