Hot Water Back on at Texas State

SAN MARCOS, Texas (AP) _ Hot water is flowing again at 14 Texas State University dormitories one week after a steam boiler problem cooled the taps.

TSU president Denise Trauth, in a statement Thursday, thanked students, faculty and staff for their “patience and understanding” during the outage.

Cindy Voigt with the San Marcos school’s facilities management office says hot water was restored to residence halls Wednesday night using a temporary boiler. Voigt says new boilers are expected to be installed by late April.

Students during the outage had access to hot showers at other campus facilities.
