Hoops teams try to bounce back Saturday; Guys host Baylor, Gals at Tech

For the first time this season, both Texas A&M basketball teams will play on the same day following a loss in the days before.

The Aggie women are still ranked 6th in the nation when they go to Lubbock Saturday for a game they should win but in a city where history is not on their side. The Lady Raiders have lost four in a row since winning eight straight games. But after A&M broke a long Lubbock drought by winning in 2007 and 2008, they have taken good teams there and lost the last two years. Like in any sport, Tech puts it in an extra gear for the Aggies. The game is at 2 pm Saturday at United Spirit Arena.

The Aggie men have lost three of their last four including the shellacking by Texas Monday and now they host Baylor in a battle of the Brazos. Baylor, an elite eight team last year, is 14-7 and 4-4 in the Big 12 and has lost 4 of 6, including last night by 7 at Oklahoma in a game that was delayed by a day due to weather concerns in Norman. Tip Saturday at Reed is at 1 pm.
