Before police arrived, the men are accused of beginning an altercation with store employees. One of the brothers escaped while the other…according to the arrest report…grabbed the throat of a loss prevention officer and pushed him back. The employee gained control by pressing the suspect against a filing cabinet. Police then arrested 24 year old Warden Jackson Jr. of Bryan for robbery. Jail records indicate Jackson was being held on a $100,000 dollar bond.

A Bryan police officer who pulled over a car Saturday night because the headlights weren’t on, wound up in three pursuits. It began on South College south of Coulter and ended with finding the driver submerged in a creek betwen Greenway and Brookside. According to the arrest report, 17 year old Luis Nolasco said he ditched his Mustang with the engine still on then jumped a couple of fences because he did not want to be deported and because he had drank ten beers and two shots of whiskey.

Another Bryan officer caught a motorist going 55 in a 45 early Sunday morning then arrested the driver on an enhanced charge of not having a valid license. According to the arrest report, 26 year old Alvin Baker of Bryan was convicted of the same offense twice last year and has 11 active suspensions. Baker spent six hours in jail before he was released on a $2,000 dollar bond.

On Saturday, College Station police received four burglary reports from townhomes on Teal and five criminal mischief complaints from apartments on Blanco…where a witness saw someone leaning out of a pickup and with a baseball bat bashed windows out of vehicles…resulting in an estimated $3,000 in property damage.

Bryan police received five burglary reports on Saturday. Two were apartments in the same complex on Hollowhill along with two buildings and a vehicle.

And from Texas A&M police, a reminder to use passwords that aren’t easy for thieves. According to UPD’s Twitter feed, they received a report on Thanksgiving from someone reporting items were taken from a locker at the recreation center near the weight room. The victim used the security code 1-1-1-1 to secure the locker.
