Holiday Reminder: Microchip Your Pets

Does your pet have a microchip? Leiha White from Aggieland Humane Society said the holiday season is a popular time for pets to run away.

“Your schedule is different, people are coming in and out of your house, you’re coming in and out of your house with maybe more packages than usual,” said White.

White said all pets should have a microchip, even indoor cats.

“You think it will come back, but it goes to your neighbor’s house, and your neighbor has no idea you have a cat because your cat is always in the house,” said White.

This Friday, November 30, Aggieland Humane Society is offering free microchips from 3 to 6 p.m. at Lick Creek Park in College Station.
