The College Station City Council at its last meeting was given one perspective of a division inside a homeowners association.
The next council meeting will include remarks from at least one person opposed to the proposed route of the Lick Creek greenway trail.
Marcy Halterman-Cox is among more than 20 members of the SpringBrook Homeowners Association opposed to donating land to the trail.
Cox says they are also parties who have also gone to small claims court seeking to throw out what they consider was a tainted HOA election. The pending case seeks throw out the results of a recent SpringBrook vote that approved donating land in the drainage area that Cox says borders the backyards of 52 homes.
