High Performing Schools in BCS

A total of 13 public schools in Bryan and College Station have been declared High Performing Schools for 2008 by the National Center for Educational Accountability.

Bryan ISD Communications Director Sandy Farris says the schools are compared with districts of similar demographics.

Alton Bowen Elementary is Higher Performing in Mathematics and Reading

Johnson Elementary is Higher Performing in Mathematics and Writing

Mary Branch Elementary is Higher Performing in Reading

Sam Houston Elementary is Higher Performing in Mathematics and Reading

Sul Ross Elementary is Higher Performing in Reading

College Station ISD 2008 High Performaning Schools:

A&M Consolidated High School for Science and Social Studies

A&M Consolidated Middle School for Math, Science and Social Studies

Cypress Grove Intermediate School for Math

Oakwood Intermediate School for Reading

College Hills Elementary School for Reading

Forest Ridge Elementary School for Math

Pebble Creek Elementary School for Math, Reading and Writing
