A total of 13 public schools in Bryan and College Station have been declared High Performing Schools for 2008 by the National Center for Educational Accountability.
Bryan ISD Communications Director Sandy Farris says the schools are compared with districts of similar demographics.

Johnson Elementary is Higher Performing in Mathematics and Writing
Mary Branch Elementary is Higher Performing in Reading
Sam Houston Elementary is Higher Performing in Mathematics and Reading
Sul Ross Elementary is Higher Performing in Reading
