Monday night update:
Bryan police release the identity of the driver of the Suburban who was killed in a three vehicle crash Sunday night as 46 year old Robert Wayne Hill of Harris County.
The driver of the F-450 was hospitalized Monday night in stable condition.
As previously reported, two adults and two children in a third vehicle were taken to the hospital where they were treated for minor injuries and released.
The wreck took place on Highway 47/Riverside Parkway near Silver Hill Road, which is between Leonard Road and the Thompson Creek bridge.
Monday morning update:
One person is dead and five injured after a three vehicle crash Sunday night on Highway 47 at Riverside Parkway.
According to a Bryan police news release, a Ford F450 work truck was traveling northbound when it was truck head-on by a Chevy Suburban traveling in the wrong direction.
The truck then struck another vehicle in the next lane, causing the truck to roll and catch on fire.
An off-duty constable, who drove up onto the scene, helped medics remove the driver of the truck who was transported to a hospital and is listed in stable condition.
The driver of the Suburban, a 46 year-old male, died at the scene. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
Two adults and two children in the third vehicle were transported to a hospital, treated and released with minor injuries.

On October 21, 2018, at approximately 9:15 p.m. Officers responded to the 3900 block of Hwy 47/Riverside Pkwy for a major accident. A Ford F450 work truck was traveling Northbound in the left-hand lane when it was struck head-on by a Chevy Suburban traveling the wrong direction in the Northbound left lane. The F450 then struck a four-door Cadillac traveling North in the right-hand lane causing the truck to roll onto its cab. An off-duty Constable drove up onto the scene and observed that the cab of the F450 was on fire. The Constable put out the fire and helped Medics extract the driver who was unconscious at the time.
The driver of the F450 was transported to CHI St. Joseph Hospital and is listed in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Cadillac was occupied by two adults and two children, ages 1 and 2, who were all transported to CHI St. Joseph Hospital where they were treated and released with minor injuries.
The driver of the Suburban, a 46-year-old male, was deceased at the scene and alcohol is believed to have contributed to the accident. The name of the deceased is not being released at this time pending notification.
