COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M senior Hannah Jechow was named the SEC Reining Rider of the Month, the conference office announced Wednesday.
“Hannah has been a very consistent rider for us all season,” head coach Tana McKay said. “We are really excited that she is able to close out her senior season with this honor.”
Jechow went 2-0 in the Aggies’ regular season meets in March, defeating No. 1 Auburn’s Hailey Munger, 68.5-60, before earning her fourth MOP honor of the season with a 72.5-65 victory over No. 8 SMU’s Casey Bibbs.
The Uvalde, Texas native has led A&M’s Reining squad to a 12-3 mark this season with a team-high 11 wins.
Jechow and the Aggies return to action April 14 against No. 12 Fresno State in the first round of action at the NCEA Championships in Waco, Texas.
