BPD arrest reports say 28 year old Daquandrance Bell of Bryan denies firing multiple shots at a truck whose driver honked after Bell cut off the truck near the Briarcrest overpass.
The driver and passenger in the pickup told officers that after they honked, the car came up alongside the truck and the driver fired three shots.
No one in the truck was hit by the gunfire. A window on the truck was hit by at least one shot.
A BPD patrol officer found the car south of the city cemetery at MLK near Dansby. A pursuit that included the car running two stop signs ended when the car pulled into a driveway.
Bell was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possessing a gun as a convicted felon, and evading.
As of September 3rd, Bell remains jailed in lieu of bonds totaling $240,000 dollars.
