A Grimes County high school student has been charged with murder after a Huntsville woman wounded during a drive-by shooting on Tuesday died Wednesday.
Debra Collins died at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan after being shot twice in the abdomen and once in the wrist.
Collins, 49, was wounded while walking through the living room of a relative’s Grimes County home.
Guadalupe Pedraza of Richards has confessed to the shooting.
Pedraza, 17, fired several shots at the house while riding by in the back of a pick-up. Witnesses say Pedraza was upset over a drug deal and thought the man who sold him the drugs was inside of the house.
